Description
Originally published in 1979, this is a diary which follows a year at Parsonage Farm in Devon, close to Dartmoor. Michael Morpurgo documents a way of life unchanged for centuries, but already remote to most people, with all its daily hardships and rewards. The accompanying poems were written by Ted Hughes as diary accounts of events on his own farm close by. Illustrated with photographs by James Ravilious from the Beaford Archive in Devon, and with a new introduction by prize-winning author Katherine Rundell.
