Description
This is the story of how wildlife came back to Peppering Farm on the Arundel estate in West Sussex. Prompted by the collapse in numbers of one species, the grey partridge, the estate managers woke up to the devastating effects of modern farming methods - and they set in motion a transformation. Today, fields are divided by hedgerows and crossed by beetle banks; the land is manured and much of it returned to pasture. A moving and hopeful account of how biodiversity and modern farming can work together.
