Description
Finnish Lapland, 1947. Inkeri arrives in remote Enontekio on a journalism assignment. Her real motivation is personal - this is where her husband was last seen during the war. As her questions meet with silence and hostility, Inkeri becomes aware of the fault-lines in this small community. Her burgeoning friendship with a young Sami girl enables her to start piecing together the reason for the town’s reticence, as traces of disturbing crimes emerge from the pristine landscape of snow and ice.
