Description
In 17th century England, Alexander Marshal’s interest in rare plants was stimulated by specimens imported from the Near East and the New World. His florilegium - the only English flower book to survive from the period - contains some of the most beautiful plant studies in botanical art. The 44 illustrations in this colouring book are taken from a copy in The Royal Collection, with full-colour plates shown beside black and white line versions. Pages are printed on thick, high-quality paper to prevent bleed-through.
