Description
When English photographer Martyn Goddard travelled to New York in 1978 with an assignment to photograph singer Debbie Harry, he couldn’t have imagined that Blondie’s songs and his images would soon become permanent fixtures in the pop cultural landscape. This collection of images – as seen in magazines, newspapers, promotional campaigns, posters and record sleeves – is a pictorial account of the band’s breakthrough year, in which they went from being a semi-underground rock group to bona fide superstars.
