OUR PEBBLES (HB)

With sweets stuffed in their pockets, a boy and his grandad go for a walk. Through the wonky woods, across the railway track, over the stile - and there, through the dunes, they see the sea and "their" beach. They pick pebbles and wash them clean in the waves. Later, they paint their memories from the day on the pebbles, before placing them in a special, secret place. Memories can be as comforting as holding a warm, smooth pebble in your hand. And when life changes, pebbles stay with you always.
