OLD DUNKELD AND BIRNAM

A wonderful collection of photographs of Old Dunkeld and Birnam from the previous two centuries. Long ago, Dunkeld was the transition point between Lowland Scotland and the Highlands. Due to its cultural significance, it has witnessed violence and conflict as people and civilisations clashed. With the rise of transport links in the 19th Century, Dunkeld became popular with wealthy tourists, and yet the little town has always retained its beauty in the heartland of Scotland.
