WALKING IN THE SOUTHERN UPLANDS

44 routes stretching right across the Southern Uplands of Scotland, from Merrick and the Galloway Hills in the west to Arthur’s Seat and the River Tweed in the east. Wild hill country, with over 80 peaks of 2000ft or more, the range is full of character and as big as the English Pennines. The routes are suitable from spring to autumn, and in winter with good weather, and provide information on distance, ascent time, terrain and points of interest, as well as transport and accommodation.
