HONEY & CO: THE BAKING BOOK

For Honey & Co, winners of the Sunday Times Food Book of the Year 2014 for their Middle Eastern recipes, the day is marked by the pastry section. In the morning, sticky buns full of cherries and pistachios; for elevenses, a loaf of rich dough rolled with chocolate, hazelnuts and cinnamon; a crisp, crumbly shell of pastry filled with spiced lamb or burnt aubergine for lunch; poached peaches with roses or traditional sweet and salty Knafe drenched in orange blossom syrup for dessert.
